[AI "art" is not copyrighted art] 👉
Man of Pider - the game was taken down because an AI-"artist" suddenly owns copyrights to all AI-generated random images around the internet 🤷♂️
As an artist myself, I adhere to all applicable rules, laws, and regulations and have no intention of causing harm or infringing upon legitimate copyrights. My understanding aligns with the guidance issued by the U.S. Copyright Office, which states that AI-generated content can receive copyright protection only if a human has substantially contributed to or modified the content.
Crucially, simply providing a text prompt is generally not considered sufficient for copyright protection. The Office emphasizes that copyright applies to the "final result" when a human significantly modifies or arranges AI-generated material. For instance, a video becomes copyrightable if a human edits multiple AI-generated clips, or a book cover if a human manipulates an AI-generated image. Any claims extending beyond this principle often delve into subjective interpretations rather than established legal precedent.
